Photo Jamz

Photo Jamz is a practice of waiting. Most of the photographs are made on a phone, in the ordinary places where life actually happens, because the moment usually arrives before the plan does. The work never starts with a hunt. It starts with being somewhere long enough for the light, the street, the weather, or a person to show up just right. Nature, people, metro edges, landscapes, plants, and animals are all fair game. Nothing is ranked as more worthy than anything else. A shadow on concrete can matter as much as a ridge line. A face in passing can matter as much as a field. The aim is simple: keep the memories worth handing to someone else. Not every picture is a trophy. Many are proof that a day was noticed. The phone is not a compromise. It is the camera that is already there when the scene decides to show up. Photo Jamz treats photography as attention rather than pursuit. The subject is whatever life offers, and the picture is an invitation to look twice.
