How it works

Post the show, take applications, then confirm the lineup.

  1. Post the event

Log in and fill in the show. It stays a draft until you set Event Status to Live. The public listing is created with the event.

  2. Take applications

Turn on applications and set the fees. Artists pay the application and jury fees through Stripe before the application is submitted. Brakebee keeps 5% of that payment.

  3. Decide the lineup

Score in the jury room, then accept or waitlist. Accepting invoices the booth fee. A fee of $0 confirms them. A VIP invite puts someone on the lineup without an application, including a complimentary booth.

  4. Email the artists

Email a status from Applicants, or the wider list from your contacts. Those emails are ones you send. They are not sent when you accept or waitlist.

Future tools

The Brakebee app is coming soon. Check-in, announcements, and on-site messages are already in it.

Electronic check-in

Artists check in from the phone. You open attendance and see who has arrived.

Push announcements

Send a notice to artists on the show who have the app. Start from open, weather, parking, live entertainment, or last hour.

Messages on site

Artists send a quick note: a booth sitter, a stop-by, weather, load-out, or an emergency. You can broadcast one message to the show.

AI event guides

A guide for people walking the show, written from the event. This one is still being written.

Show packet

Artists open the venue, their booth, add-ons, your notes, and the other exhibitors. After it loads once, that copy stays on the phone.

QR scanner

Scan a product, an artist, or the event.
