Elephants by Patrice Meyerdirk

Elephants is a freehand, self-taught acrylic painting from Patrice, born from a day of just going crazy painting — the kind of session where the brush leads and the plan falls away. Tracks and footprints roll across the piece, loose and instinctive, capturing the fun, feet-first energy of Africa's great wanderers on the move.

This piece comes as a 5x5" print on aluminum, giving the original's playful linework a sleek, industrial finish. The metal surface sharpens the colors and catches the light in a way paper can't, adding a modern edge to the wild, untamed subject.

Small in size but big in character, this is one of Patrice's recommended favorites — a compact piece with plenty of stomp.
