Kokopelli Circle by Dugout Creek Designs

Kokopelli dances across the desert inside a bold ring, antenna-like strands flying, one hand reaching toward a tall saguaro as a spiky sun climbs behind him. Hand-cut steel in Hammered Black or Rust Patina. Southwest wall decor that brightens a sunroom, desert-modern living room or entry, and a happy gift.

More about this...

Hike far enough into the canyon country of the Southwest and you may find him pecked into a sandstone wall: a small hunched figure caught mid-step, as if he heard music no one else could. Kokopelli has been dancing through the region's rock art and stories for a very long time, and here he steps out across the sand at sunrise, back bowed, round head tipped forward, long curving strands streaming behind him. A saguaro stands on a rocky ledge with a barrel cactus at its foot, and the sun breaks over the rim of the circle.

Each shape here was hand-cut from a steel sheet, and the open spaces between the figure, the cactus and the sun let your wall color become the desert sky. Hammered Black draws a sharp, graphic outline with a faint pebbled grain, and Rust Patina warms the scene with an earthy red-brown. It mounts with small nails, double-sided tape, velcro, or magnets.

Picture it in a sunroom, a desert-modern living room, a hallway gallery, a music or craft room, or a casita guest room, and it sits naturally among western wall decor and desert-inspired furnishings. A cheerful gift for desert hikers, canyon road-trippers and anyone whose home needs a few more dance steps.

Care instructions

Brush away dust whenever it settles, using only a soft cloth. When the steel needs more than that, treat it to a barely wet soft cloth and a touch of gentle glass cleaner.
